8 Sneaky Lies You Might Believe!

We live in a culture that’s hard to resist—who doesn’t want to have more, whether for ourselves or for our families? Who doesn’t struggle with a sense of significance—especially if we aren’t super-moms or highly successful women juggling a ridiculous number of stressful responsibilities and activities? God has a lot to say about how we live and what motivates our choices and life-style.

8 Sneaky Lies

What Is God’s Truth?                                        What Is The Sneaky Lie?

  1. Owe no man anything (Rom.13:8 ) Charge it all

  1. Be content (Heb. 13:5) I need more and more

  1. Value inner beauty (1 Peter 3) Value lies in your looks

  1. Flee lust (1 Thess. 4:3) Give in to lust

  1. Train a child (Prov. 22:6) Only if I can fit it in

  1. Love your child (Titus 2:4) Push them to meet your needs

  1. Significant because God’s child Significant because successful

  1. Life purpose: Please God (John 4:34) The one with the most wins

Take a second look at this list of lies we easily absorb and ask yourself: Which one(s) do I need to face up to? If you ask God to show you, He will. And if you ask Him to change your heart in that area, He will go to work!
