Jesus Promises Spiritual Fruit!
Here's a snippet from my soon to be relaunched book.Reaching Higher: Ten Dynamic Truths from Abraham That Will Transform Your life. Jesus Promises:Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit (John 15:5 TLB).Abraham isn't the only person God intended to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is for you and for me, too. True, there are those days when we might feel the only fruit we're bearing is sour grapes, but Jesus does make a promise we can count on. Notice, though, the condition for fruitfulness. To bear spiritual fruit--whether seeing ourselves change or being part of God's work in someone else--requires living in Christ and allowing Him to live His life through us. This can seem rather mystical and difficult to grasp. Different Bible versions use the words remain, abide, live. They're each saying the same thing: in order to bear spiritual fruit, we need to stay close to Christ--talking to Him, listening to Him, and doing His will.Question: How's your awareness of Jesus today? What helps you reconnect during your day?
