Go For It!

Go for It!“Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should” - Psalm 90:12 (TLB)

The words “GO FOR IT” keep popping up in my mind and attaching themselves to all sorts of invitations. How about you?Is God whispering or flashing the words “GO FOR IT” in your mind and heart? What is He drawing you to consider or act on?

  • Is it an overseas mission field or a local need, maybe right next door?
  • Is it to make a difference in someone’s life, to share your faith in tangible ways, to live fully not fearfully?
  • Is it to trust Him and refuse to let obstacles keep you from moving forward in faith?

GO FOR IT is on my mind because:

  1. THIS SATURDAY I’m presenting a Bible-based motivational one-day seminar on this topic at the Presbyterian Church in The Dalles, Oregon. If you’re within driving distance and would like to come, send me a quick email. I’d love to see you there.Go For It!
  2. Turning some of my articles and blogs posts into ebooks has been on my mind for a few years. A month ago, I decided to GO FOR IT, took an ebook online course, and now I’m in the process of getting two ebooks ready for the publisher. You’ll be the first to get a link to it when it’s ready to launch!
  3. I’m feeling the tug to go to India—trip #5—next January. I’m praying, waiting, and watching for God’s confirmation, but also willing to “GO FOR IT”!

WHY SHOULD YOU “GO FOR IT"?Because God made you a unique creation; you are on earth at this time for a reason.Ephesians 2:10: "It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.” (TLB)Because God will supply all your needs—whether that’s for yourself or those you care for.Because Christ calls you to abide in Him and bear much fruit.Because trusting God in the face of obstacles (which come whenever we move forward and go for what He wants us to do) causes our faith to stretch, become strong, and produce spiritual growth.TODAY, let me encourage you to:

  • Think deeply,
  • Pray faith-filled prayers,
  • And say “YES” to whatever God is calling you to in this season of your life.

I’d love to hear your response to God’s “Go For It”! Email me.
